In the South-West of Portugal, midst the hills and vast forests, lies our dreamfarm: 'Quinta do Grilo'. It's the ideal refuge for people searching for rest, nature and privacy. The description dreamfarm is not unintentionally picked, because a stay at our farm invites you to daydream. The owners speak English. They will personally take care that you have rest and privacy. They stay at the same domain of 4.2 hectares, but can't be seen from the farm and will not disturb you, unless you might need something. The farm is built in a beautiful rural and rustic style and offers place for 6 adults. If necessary, children's beds can be added.

The original farm dates from 1952 and was used as a chickenfarm. Walls are built of clay and are at least 50cm thick. After radical restaurations between 1999 and 2002, the entire building is in a brandnew state. You can still find the original wall surrounding the premises.

The swimming pool has a solar system, which constantly provides warm water (from May until the end of October). In the pool and its surrounding we have stylish lighting, so you could also swim at night and feel as if you would find yourself in the tropics.

The estate is planted with cork-oaks and olive trees. We also have many fruit trees, like oranges, lemon, prunes, grapes, pears, apples, mango and lots more in Central European countries less known exotic fruit. The house has 240 square metres of living space and lies on a hill. Below in our valley, there are two authentic wells, which were dugged by hand. One of them is at least 9m deep. You can enjoy the gorgeous view and the beneficent rest. The farm has no immediate neighbours, hense; an unknown privacy.
