The Ladners' Little House in the Woods is just south of Franklin, NC, in the middle of Western North Carolina's beautiful scenery, wholesome family activities, mountain crafts and fairs, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fishing, mountain music and pioneer museums.

Wake up to the sounds of the birds in the trees and the cows in the meadow below. Visit the Foxfire pioneer cabins in Georgia, the old-time farms in Cades Cove and the Great Smoky Mountains National Forest. Take our folding chairs to "Pickin on the Square" music in Franklin on Saturday nights. Drive through national forests on your way to Cherokee Indian exhibits, mountain crafts in Asheville and Gatlinburg, spectacular waterfalls in NC and deep mountain gorges in Georgia.

Our home has a library of North Carolina mountain history, driving tour guides, wildflower guides, forest maps, guides to restaurants, horse stables and rafting outfitters and complete instructions on how to get a temporary fishing license. Not to mention that you're barely two and a half hours away from the Atlanta airport. Secluded but not isolated.
