Located on Elbow Cay, 2 miles south of Hope Town directly on Atlantic Ocean beachfront is Sea Lavender. From the driveway, with its dense tropical landscaping, a sandy pathway leads to the house in a very private setting on the dune.

This two bedroom two bathroom home is built in traditional Bahamian style, with open living/dining/kitchen areas, wood floors, and exposed beam ceiling. Extensive decking surrounds a freshwater pool. Sea Lavender is just a short walk by beach or road to the Abaco Inn Restaurant. Sea Lavender is an excellent island vacation rental and is also available for sale.

The Master bedroom has a queen sized bed overlooking the Atlantic and its own bath with a tub and private doorway to the outside deck. The guest bedroom also has a queen with it's own ensuite bathroom with shower and its own private deck entrance. The open living room is tastefully decorated in traditional colonial decor. A romantic cozy fireplace sets the atmosphere. The six seat dining area adjacent to the living room overlooks the pool and Atlantic. The kitchen offers all top of the line appliances, including a custom built-in refrigerator/freezer with ice and water dispensers, island cooktop with 4 seat breakfast bar, dishwasher, icemaker, garbage disposal, and an extensive stock of fine cooking equipment. French doors offer optimized views & cool fresh Atlantic breezes in all living areas. A colorful art collection is displayed throughout the home. Other amenities include satellite TV, fine stereo system, phone, VHF Radio, a wide selection of CDs, and many good books.

The French doors exit onto spacious outside decking. The multi-layered decks are wonderful for relaxing in the shade under the cozy gazebo, swimming in the 32ft. fresh water pool, or tanning on a lounge chair. Steps lead up to guests' favourite - a screened gazebo. The Gazebo makes a perfect outside studio for artists or a comfortable area in the shade to curl up with your favourite book. It's the perfect spot to enjoy sunsets over White Sound. Any of the decks make a lovely setting for rounding off the day with your favourite drink, barbequing your catch of the day or, if you're an early riser, watching our spectacular Bahamas sunrises. The Beach at this area of the island is great for beachcombers, swimmers, snorkelers, and some days even surfers. For those who wish to rent a boat, the White Sound community dock is just minutes away. Rental boats are available through several agencies in the Abacos, as are golf carts.
