Our 17th century Farmhouse and Barn comprises: 5 doubles, 3 twin+ bedrooms,
5 Wcs, 2 baths (1 jacuzzi), 3 showers.

Both kitchens are fully fitted and equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave.
There is plenty of space for dining in or outdoors. Most groups use the generous areas of the Farmhouse for dining.

Interiors are spacious with comfortable sofas in both houses. Working fireplaces, electric heaters and wood burning stoves keep the chill off during low season nights (logs provided for the fire).

UK satellite TV/video is installed in both houses.

The Farmhouse and Barn are interconnected via the shared laundry, where there are 2 washing machines for the use of our guests.

We take pride in the fact that Chauffour is furnished and decorated in a traditional country style in keeping with the age of the property. We've taken extra care to include personal items of decoration and furnishing which we believe makes our place a cut above most gites.

The owners, Tracy & Massimo, live discretely on site and can offer dinner on arrival and gourmet dinners during your stay (there is an extra charge) - a great idea if none of you feel like cooking, or prefer not to drive to a restaurant!

We can also assist with bookings or visits to local attractions. Access to email/internet is available on the owners' PC (Windows XP & Office 2000)

All bedding & towels are provided with a weekly change of linen. Welcome hamper on arrival.
Bikes can be used free of charge (helmets not available).
BBQ for your use (coals provided).
Fresh bakery items delivered on request.
Parking in total for 5 cars.
Spacious garden - lots of games and activities including badminton, swingball, boules, table tennis.
Indoor games, books & video library, should the weather not behave itself!
The garden and houses are spacious enough for the group to spread out and not be under each other's feet.

For smaller groups, each property can be rented separately (see website).

Location and Local Facilities: Nearby is a 9-hole par 62 golf course, also tennis courts and equipment for hire.

The countryside around lends itself to all sorts of activities: walking, cycling, horse riding, mini golf, canoeing, fishing. Bergerac and St Emilion, both famous for wine are 1 hour away by car.

It's also possible to arrange wine/chocolate tasting or visits to the wine regions with a local English speaking expert oenologist. Late September/October is the grape harvest season.

The nearest restaurants are 5 minutes drive away, and the local market town of Riberac is 10 minutes away with a selection of restaurants and bars. Market day is Friday, and it's well worth a visit.

Gourmet cooking courses are being run locally by Valentina Harris and we can arrange for you to attend.

Throughout the summer there are local bric-a-brac markets, festivals and village lunches where you can mix with the locals.
